Relationship RidingBarbra-Ann King has been involved with horses for the past thirty years and she strongly believes in improving our relationship with them.

After studying horse psychology and behavior, Barbra-Ann learned how to communicate effectively with horses using Healing Energy and Animal Communication, applying her knowledge mostly to horses with behavioral problems and rescues. She founded the Relationship Riding© method which she gladly teaches to participants through private lessons, small group settings, clinics and demonstrations.

Barbra-Ann is a gifted facilitator and instructor. Her passion for her work is contagious. She has turned many non-believers into gentle horse handlers using the Relationship Riding method. She has also helped numerous people overcome their fear of horses to the point of owning and enjoying their very own.

"Contrary to popular belief, riding horses is quite simple and does not require any particular method, equipment/accessories or educational concept, no matter what equestrian discipline you are practising." says Barbra-Ann.

Besides offering riding lessons and training horses, Barbra-Ann offers private and public clinics on the Relationship Riding method. During specialized workshops, she uses equine assistants to help participants overcome low self-esteem, lack of confidence, and anger-management issues, as well as soul searching and getting in touch with their true self. Other specialized workshops include self-development to adult groups as well as at-risk teenagers. She also offers corporate seminars in team-building and leadership skills using equine related activities.

Barbra-Ann King has worked in therapeutic riding programs with autistic children as well as with the Calgary Police Community Youth Wranglers program. She also taught the "Riding Through Life" program offered by Paradise Ridge Foundation, a charitable organization helping children in need of love and support.

Barbra-Ann King helps people wishing to have a better understanding and relationship with their equine friends as well as a deeper understanding of themselves.

"When you are ready, the journey will unfold". - B-A King.
