Instructor Certification Program

Choose an Exciting and Challenging Career with Horses.

Become a Relationship Riding Certified Instructor.

Relationship Riding is an exciting step forward in the evolution of horsemanship. This unique riding/training technique is based on how we first started riding horses many centuries ago, challenging conventional techniques by embracing the philosophy of no pain, fear or discomfort for the horse.

This is your chance to be part of the first group of certified instructors in Canada.

Treeless Saddles

sensation.jpg
The best saddle I have ever ridden in...and it's treeless! For anyone wishing to truly embrace the Relationship Riding© method, this saddle offers the "clearest" line of communication between horse and rider.More

Relationship RidingAngelica
(Spanish Azteca mare
)
Angelica is a very patient and reliable teacher who wishes everyone would chose to ride the Relationship Riding© way. Whether her rider is nervous or unbalanced, she is very forgiving as she encourages them to try again. She enjoys showing off in the arena when she meets someone for the first time and she is sure to make you laugh when she shows her goofy personality. There is no better way to experience Relationship Riding© for the first time than on top of Angelica.
Relationship RidingTrinity (Morgan gelding)
After being rescued from the feedlot, Trinity spent a lot of time just being a horse (i.e. running around in green pastures with a herd of his own). Because he had been sadly abused, Trinity needed to learn how to trust humans again and he has given us the opportunity to prove that to him. He adores children, especially teenagers, and will walk up to the gate to say "Hello" whenever someone comes to visit him. He loves to "protect" his human companion by standing tall beside them. No one can resist his boyish charms and his gentle eyes.

Relationship Riding Athena (Spanish Azteca mare)

Athena is Angelica's half-sister whom she loves to hang out with. Athena is also a clown and loves to pick on her pasture mates in the hope they will start playing with her. She is now started under saddle using the ACT method (Authentic Colt Training) which consists of starting a young horse with no saddle, in a natural way. Athena already shows potential as a Relationship Riding© equine facilitator and we look forward to introducing her to her first students.

Equine FacilitatorsTopaz (Norwegian Fjord mare)

With her wisdom and gentle demeanor, Topaz is an invaluable horse for us. Her smaller size, slower gait and soft eyes all invite you to jump on bareback as she takes you for a quiet ride. She is a peaceful and happy horse and we are very happy to have her as one of our equine facilitators.

Update: Topaz was recently retired as a school horse and purchased by a Relationship Riding© student. She still lives at Paradise Ridge Ranch, enjoying her time with her old friends.

Princess (Thoroughbred mare)

princess.jpgPrincess is a retired performance horse that now enjoys teaching children, young and old, the art of horsemanship. Princess is truly a real princess! Her grace, patience and calm personality make her the ideal facilitator to teach the most timid riders to become strong and confident. First attempts to trotting are best done on this smooth going horse.

Spirit (Palomino/Paint gelding)  spirit1.jpg

This wonderful horse found his way into our hearts with his calm attitude and easy going demeanor. He was purchased to replace Topaz as an Equine Facilitator and has lived up to all our expectations. He is the horse to teach leadership in its true equine form!
